Campolindo Music Boosters was honored to host an incredible concert on October 19, 2011. The Air Force Band of the Golden West graced us with their fine music, with Captain Haley Armstrong, Commander and Conductor at the podium. Joining them was the Walnut Creek Concert Band, led by our very own Harvey Benstein as Music Director and Conductor.
The USAF Band of the GW comes from Travis Air Force base and hails some of the finest musicians from around the country; while the Walnut Creek Concert Band is made up of professional musicians from around the SF Bay area.
Pieces performed jointly by the USAF Band and The Walnut Creek Concert Band were:

Students and adult members of the community were fortunate to enjoy this exceptional opportunity at no cost. Students were able to witness musicianship at a professional level in their very own CPAC. It was truly a night to remember.

“The BBQ was a blast. Mr. Benstein grilled some fantastic burgers and hot dogs. The weather was beautiful; it was sunny and warm, but not too hot. No one swam, but students definitely spent time getting to know fellow musicians that they had not met before. Also, students were able to catch up with old friends. 45 students were there. The poster we made and signed for the music program this year is creative and expressed the personality of campo music 2010-2011.” – Inno Asuncion, Music Council Co-President
